 Reggae and Dancehall on every channel, Sound Systems take over the clubs, Jamaican music saves the industry in a crisis. Sean Paul, Wayne Wonder Elephant Man, T.O.K., Beenie Man, Baby Cham, Spragga Benz, Mr. Vegas – so much Offbeat-artists have filled the US-Billboardcharts these days. Seeed and Gentleman have allready openend the doors for german Reggae. Reggae finally has overcome the status as a soundtrack for the summer.
So it is no seasonal question, but also less because of the hype, that these days one of the most expectated german artists comes over to the big hit. Since a few years, the scene is putting their intire hope on Nosliw (spoken: Nusliw). Not without Reason the readers of the biggest german reggaemagazine „Riddim“ voted Nosliw for newcomer of the year the second time and ranked him on the second place in the category “German artist of the year” this time.
Like no one else Nosliw knows how to transfer deep and conscoius lyrics into nice and catchie songs – without being to serious or charging the listener.
His debut album „Mittendrin“ is already a classic. From Rootsreggae to Dancehall, with a touch of HipHop and Soul, Nosliw set the standard for german Reggae.
With a little support from german Stars like Seeed, Gentleman or Max Herre everybody should be satisfied.
