Ganja Massive Sound was founded in the year 2000 by Jancsi and Kris. The two "long time Reggae-Lovers" build the Sound with the aim to promote Reggae-Music in the "Highlands" from Zürich (Ganja Massive Sound is based in Illnau/Switzerland) and all over Switzerlaand..! After some likkle Dances around their Hometown Illnau, they see that Jancsi gwa..an good as a Selector and Kris have the right talent pon the Mic to nice up every Dance deh. So they have found the "formation" for Ganja Massive Sound. The Entertainment was better from Day to Day and so Ganja Massive Sound became very fast their first bookings from Clubs like: KiFF/Aarau, Dynamo, Provitreff/Zürich, Kulturfabrik/Wetzikon, Coupole, Gaskessel/Biel to name just a few..! In the Year 2002 we realised our long Dream from a own Soundsystem! We have organised some Dances and Shows in Wetzikon (Nullgleis) with: IGHI the flaming arrow, Ras Charmer, Skarra Mucci, Natty Flo(first time in Switzerland), Cali P., Phat Promo and nuff nuff more! (They all have played pon our Soundsystem!) In the early 2003 Kris leaved the Sound to do his own Project..s (Not Sound). Because of that Jancsi have started to grab the Mic in Session. ...and he start to love it more and more..! In this time Jancsi did some "One Man Shows" But enuff old stuff! When you take a look to Ganja Massive Sound now, you can see five Peoples: Jancsi (Selector, MC, Sound-owner), Sooty (MC), Rolah (MC, Operator),Lukeelion (Selector) and Phlava(Selector). They change the formation from Dance to Dance but Jancsi is the Main-Selector and he will never shut his mouth when he can touch a microphone! Now, with 5 Peoples, Ganja Massive Sound is ready to play a night alone (without any other Sounds or DJs)! We did the jugglings before and after the Shows from Artists like:Bushman & the Grassroots Band, Michael Roze feat. Sly & Robbie, General Degree & the Germaicans and many more...... In the Year 2004 Ganja Massive Sound get their first Bookings in other Countries...Hungary (Jancsi..s Homeland) and Germoney! Ganja Massive Sound has played in Pècs/Sörhàz(HU), Budapest/Trafo(HU), Mainz/Kultur-Kaffee(GER) On the 7th of June 2008 Jansci died by a car accident,he will be forever in our hearts and never got forgotten.Rest in Peace our Brother!.Now it's time to keep the head up and let the Sound lives on. The Style from Ganja Massive Sound consists of everything the Jamaican-Music has to offer! We play from Ska and Rocksteady over Roots-Reggae and Rub a Dub up to modern Roots,Dancehall,Hip Hop,Soul and Funk. FI EVERY MASSIVE THE RIGHT SELECTION! |
