- February 15, 2007: Abart Music Club, Zurich
- February 24, 2007: Hacienda Sonic, Sierre
The Final (free entry):
- March 7, 2007: Caprices Festival, Crans-Montana
What is it?
Dedicated to emerging Swiss musicians and bands, the Orange Music New Talent Tour is a springboard that offers young groups the possibility of performing at one of 4 regional selections, in Lausanne, Zurich, Bern or Sierre. After each selection, the winners go through to the final and increase their chance of winning numerous prizes! This year, the public will for the first time be able to have their say by voting for their favourite band..
How does it work?
- Entries: from December 11, 2006 to January 5, 2007 via http://www.orangemusic.ch/. Post a song, information about the band and even a video on the website.
- Voting and selections: from January 6 to February 11, 2007. Via the same site, the public vote and select a band for each of the regional selections.
Two other bands are chosen by a jury of professionals. A total of three groups perform on each date.
- January 27- February 24: It’s time to demonstrate your talent!! The groups selected go on stage and attempt to win over the public and jury.
The public vote for their favourite band by text message. A jury deliberates and the winner goes through to the final!
- March 7, 2007 - the Final: the 4 finalists compete for the professional recording of an album at Balik Famr studio (4 days in the studio), its distribution by City Disc, a prize worth Frs. 2,000.- and a place on the programme of the Grande Scène at the 2008 Caprices Festival.
