| Reggae Legend Joseph Hill left us at age 57 |

It is with extreme sadness that I report the passing away of Joseph Hill the lead singer of the veteran reggae group Culture. Joseph suddenly took ill and passed away in Berlin Germany on the morning of August 19, 2006 while the group were in the middle of a European tour. |
|
|
Hill (born: January 22, 1949) enjoyed a lengthy career in reggae music and will be greatly missed by both fans and peers. The group plans to finish its current European tour and honor all other commitments with Joseph's son Kenyatta standing in on lead vocals as a tribute to his father. In coming days additional information will be posted on this website and Culture's website at http://www.CultureReggae.net to go directly to the Culture page.

yes, i saw him 2004 on the reeds festival and it was fantastic! i'm happy that i was also on the val-de-roots to see culture in action. for me one of the highlights...
it's true that he died because of his kidney (alcohol)?
(... my english, what a disaster ) |

culture made a big impact on my life and joseph hill will be deeply missed.
i am happy to say that i had the chance to see culture in concert more than any other reggae act! they consistantly delivered a good show and i always hoped to get the chance to meet joseph hill.
i consider myself lucky to have seen him perform at the reeds festival in 2004!
has anyone made it to val-de- roots festival for the show with culture on friday aug 11?
