The Swiss group Herbalist Crew released their new album, Vert Guérilla! After Herbalizm and the title "C'est Nous", the new album announced a major artistic turning point in their musical evolution.
From church choir as 6 year old Stefano Raschi to the today Cookie-The-Herbalist, Stand Tall is the second album but not it's 2nd release, since 2008 Cookie collaborate with various artists.
Lyricson is born in Guinea in 1979. He shortly after emigrates to Liberia. Due to the civil war, his father takes his son on to the U.S. At the age of 15, he feels tired of the numerous disputes and moves to a rasta friend. It is during that period that he discovers rastafari and starts to sing regularly. He spends his days between playgrounds and rehearsal rooms. Then he leaves for Martinique where he does his first recordings with the crew RED ZONE.
After arriving in Paris, he works with his cousin PYROMAN who is part of the crew surrounding the french hip hop group ASSASSIN. He records some tracks and plays several shows with the the crew before meeting MANU CHAO.
It’s Manu Chao who recruits him as an opening act and backing singer for his world tour. This meeting is very important for Lyricsons career as he gets the chance to tour the whole planet and performe in front of stadiums filled with people.
Whether on his own or accompanied by the crew Black Unite, he blazes the fire everywhere from the Bretagne to the Alps.
You cannot count the numbers of mixtapes he can be heard on, and you can find him on French productions like the “ONE DROP” riddim on the Make It Happen label, PASSI’s project “DIS L’ HEURE 2 RAGGA” or on Special Delivery Music’s latest roots riddim “STORM ALARM”.
With releasing his Debut Album in 2004 he shows that he's „BORN 2 GO HIGH“.
You take beat-box, a guitar, a accordion, rap and voices put all this in a mixer and you get Air'Box. A trio from different horizons but the vibes!
